FAQ

What is Capoeira?

Capoeira is an unique Brazilian art form created over 400 years by the African slaves as means of self-defence. It incorporates elements of music, dance, gymnastics and martial arts.

What will my child learn?

Our course is based on the foundation of Capoeira movements and music, as well as class etiquette and discipline.

Everything they learn is progressive in all aspects involved.

They will learn the ginga, basic kicks and defence as well as a few basic acrobatics like cartwheels, hand- stand, head-stand and bridge.

What should they wear?

All students must wear their capoeira outfit which includes our groups t-shirt, pants and belt if they have. No shoes are necessary unless we host class outdoors.

For beginner students, the pants are only compulsory from second term onwards.
